Radha Raman, MD

Dr. Radha (pronounced: RaH-dah)

Raman (Pronounced: RaH-Mawn)

Growing up, Dr. Raman never saw herself as anything but a physician and she chose to open her private primary care practice because she believes doctor/patient relationships are an important piece in providing optimal care in maintaining and confronting health issues. She feels, a cold clinical environment with patients seeing multiple healthcare providers and little one-on-one interaction can be a deterrent to the level of information sharing required for great healthcare. For Radha, getting to know details about you – your ideals, goals, ambitions, cares, and sorrows are important to her as a person, a medical professional, and a friend. She is interested in learning from you - the patient.

Radha came to New Orleans in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina as a volunteer with the Common Ground Medical Clinic. She received her Doctorate from The University of California, Davis, and completed her Residency Program with LSU Family Practice in Kenner, LA. Dr. Raman worked as a physician with Daughters of Charity Health Services until opening her own clinic, Oak Street Medical, in the Summer of 2013. Looking to expand her practice, the clinic moved around the corner to its current location at 914 Joliet in the Carrollton neighborhood of uptown New Orleans.
